Editorial Board Structure

The editorial governance of Scifood is designed to ensure transparency, scientific quality, and editorial independence.

The journal is led by the Editor-in-Chief, who is responsible for the editorial direction, peer-review process, and final editorial decisions. The Editor-in-Chief is supported by a Deputy Editor-in-Chief, who also serves as the Chair of the Scientific Editorial Board.

The Editors assist with the editorial handling of manuscripts, language editing, layout preparation, and, where applicable, statistical evaluation.

The Scientific Editorial Board comprises internationally recognized experts from academia and research institutions. Its role is to support the journal's scientific scope, uphold academic standards, and advise on strategic development. Members of the Scientific Editorial Board do not interfere with individual editorial decisions.

Editorial responsibilities are distributed among academic editors and subject-matter experts from internationally recognized institutions. The journal also engages dedicated editors for language editing, layout preparation, and statistical review.

Editorial Board members are internationally recognized researchers whose publications and citations reflect active participation in the global scholarly community.
The majority of Editorial Board members have established publication histories in internationally recognized citation databases, including the SCOPUS and Web of Science.
Their citation networks and areas of expertise are consistent with the journal’s scope and with comparable journals in the field of food science.
